Equality – now there’s a word that the great city of Vanguard did not strive to uphold. Despite the declarations of equality among men that were consecrated in this very city, equality was nothing more than a myth. This was evidenced by the existence of the levels of the city, which lie below the plate that SURFACE was built upon. These domains were officially deemed as the ‘sub-levels’, but residents of Vanguard knew them as the ‘slums’, each numbered by the order in which they were stacked upon one another. Koco Koga is a character in Black Streak’s comedy manga Fiji Random (FR). She is the best friend of the main character, Fiji, and she is very smart. By smart I mean book smart. She has tip top grades in her class but she lacks common sense. She’s not smart when it comes to real world stuff and this makes her look like an airhead to people who don’t know her well. Koco is lousy at solving riddles. Fiji knows this very well and asks her to solve them all the time to get a rise out out of her.

More and more video game developers are coming out with that pseudo-retro style game with messy graphics and a complete lack of level design. This sickens me. I’ve been playing games since I was a kid, so I know a bad game when I play one. Games have to be fun. That is the #1 rule, make the game fun and a lot of them that come out now-a-days are not fun! Do they even play test games anymore? They barely make games where you can play with actual friends on the same TV.
In the mood for some dark thriller action? Well, here we go.
Primary Yellow: Milk and Coffee the second part of the Primary trilogy is the tragic tale about three heroes. Two of those heroes are Pulse and Becky James. Pulse is the one with the white hair and Becky is the brown.
The Fiji Random manga is video game themed. It’s the #1 gimmick about the entire concept. I’m a big fan of video games and really wanted to create a manga that had that same theme. The cover of the first volume was designed to look like a game over, like a Xbox game box. Not only is the cover video game inspired, the structure of it’s content is video game like as well.
